hi im wondering if motorbikes have coe rebates?

the situation is this, my brother has a bike with coe till 2016, and mine is expiring next year.

hes thinking about selling it.

my great idea was (LOL)

that he scraps it, if there is coe rebate. i get it.

he recieves scrap value from bike. i top him up his scrap value to the price he wants.

he has an aftermarket endcan which maybe i can take too. (we ride the same type of bike).

but ive been looking on the onemotoring, they dont elaborate if motorbikes can have coe rebates.

1) can motrobikes have rebates?

2)can it be used on renewing coe? not only buying a brand new bike's coe-?

3)how much will the coe rebate be?

4)how to calculate scrap value?

5)is this idea generally bullshit?

He renewed his COE in 2006??

COE back then is under 1k if i nv remember wrongly..They do rebate u on the un-use COE but dont expect too much when the current COE is standing at 1.6k...

MY PGM 4 was scrap last time and the COE rebate send to me by cheque...

There's actually a link for the amount which you would get back..On the lower left of the onemotoring homepage..

I did mine and this is what i got..

I got my COE at $1081 last year on 22nd of Sept, if i were to scrap the vehicle on 1st Nov 08, i would get back $960 for COE.
