Normally, people chang engine oil once every 5,000km and oil and oil filter every 10,000km. And I also would really recommend going for the AMMC (Amateur Motorcycle Mechanic Course) lessons. You can click on the link at the sgbikes home page.

I just finshed attending the course and am very impressed by the knowledge that they impart. The cover a lot for the money you are paying as there is hand's on and theory.

Though you find it steep for a course, think about it in the long run. If any thing basic problem happens to your bike, at least you can solve it instead of towing it and getting chopped for the repairs. It's worth, trust me.

guys if the oil is dark brownish in colour almost black is it time to change oil? i just changed my oil about 2000 km ago with motul 300v + engine protector from combine. i did an engine flush prior to that.

judge oil change from mileage, oil will sure turn black aft some use, the most impt is whether it has lost its properties

Just had my spec2 serviced ie oil (BP fully synthetic) and sparkplugs (ND iridium) change, carburetor service (wash and tune).

The question is, now when I blip the throttle, the idle comes back down lower than the idle set before it goes up to where it should be. Sometimes it dies off. Then, I turned the idle higher (one mark above 1K). But same thing happens after I blip, the idle would sometimes stall lower than 1K, sometimes it dies off. Not always, but it happens. Most likely it happens if I did not blip the throttle for about half minute.

Could it be air setting not proper or sparkplug gap too big? Or carbs out of balance? But the idle is not erratic.

Thanks much in advance!

ur problem is rectifier problem if i a m not wrong.. pls check urself.. if u change rectifier nust change batt.. usually change 2 time batt 1 time rectifier..

wat is blip the throttle anyway?

Don't DIed WIth RegreTS...

blipping is a m,ethod of changing gear without ur rpm gng down & not damaging ur gears.

Riding a Ver S, found that the handle bar will shake very strong when speed goes up, sometime you cant even control the handle bar with one hand.

can someone tell me wat is actually happan to my bike? My frenz bike doesnt have this problem, but they are riding spec 1 and above.

Some told me is becos of me having box, that why it is shaking but i took the box dwn the problem still exist.

It is sometime too danger. especially when i am cornering.
