KPE towards ECP jammed like Fxxx this morning .... 3 cars collided at the start of the tunnel .... middle car, nissan latio quite bad, ambulance was present ....

North Thailand Trip

wil go the loop at least to chiang mai, mai hong san, chiang rai, and if have time, round back from Isan to Pattani and Betong

 

Date : 25 Dec 2009 to 9 Jan 2010, total 16 days, but u only need to apply 7-8 leave as there will be Xmas and New Year PH.

Total distance : 9000km

Time to meet : TBC

Place to meet : GP Petronas

Condition : Must have at least ride to Thailand once. Or else approval needed.

 

IMPORTANT : The min recovery fee of bike from Thai border to SG is SGD1000. So, pls ride safely.

This is not a joke... although the plan is early as some may say, it is at least for ur proper planning ($, leave, bike) if u have the heart to join...

wah... I take KPE to work everyday... but I enter KPE (ECP) at bartley road east... I guess thats after the accident scene :cheeky:

maybe the reason why is limited to 70km.

naming the road as KPE is an EXPRESSWAY, speed limit at 70kmh???

is like naming the bus as ferrari sport car.

 

what a joke :D

its still ultimately an expressway lah ... frm sengkang to ecp is juz a mere 15 - 20 mins traveling at 70kmm/h, will definitely take more time if go by conventional roads ... garment juz worried that if speeding accidents do occur inside the "long" tunnel, things will be disastrous ....

cos it should be very fast, so is called expressway...

 

KPE still a underground tunnel, anything happen, can be quite serious.

can even affect e road above....afterall, sg so small

it's an international standard for the speed limit to be 70km/h for underground tunnel.

agreed.. cuz outer lane vehicle reach the limit so they think they r fast enough to drive there.

This kind of thing will nvr happen. Once u want to overtake a vehicle, they will just speed up. normally..

 

by the way, i nvr use KPE so far.. lol.. wonder whether it is pretty hot for bikers since sometime i feel hot n breathless in short tunnel in CTE. lol...
