Maximum protective gear in SG possible

Just curious to know what is the highest possible protection that you can get in Singapore while at the same time not be drenched in sweat with your work clothes 😂.

 

This question is more for the commuter back and forth work.

 

Because majority of the riders here don't wear any protection other than glove and helmet 😬

You can buy a simple textile mesh jacket with padded inserts, those go for around $200-$400. Lots of air flow, light material also. But usually it's a one use item compared to full leather jackets if you have a serious fall.

 

Most riding pants don't go over your jeans or work pants. So either you ride without one, and just use your jeans/pants, or change out of riding pants when you reach work. There are also mesh riding pants for airflow.

 

For feet, also nothing that will go over your work shoes. So if you lucky work in a job that uses steel toe work boots, they are also very good at protecting your feet. Otherwise have to go without, or change into your work shoes when you reach if you buy proper boots.

 

For the most part, I think the most important stuff to prioritize above the helmet and gloves is Jacket first, then Boots then Pants.
