Hi bros,

I have some problems with my wave.

Problem 1

Cannot electric start, all the lights wnt even on but the strange thing is after kick starting the bike all the lights will come on..once the light is on, if i off the bike and press the starter it gives off this 'zzzzzzz' sound..changed battery and starter relay, still the same..is it the rectifier that is faulty? or the starter coil or someting like tat?

problem 2

Bike feels like its a bit slanted to either left or right when riding on straight road, worse thing is when cornering, super wobbly? cone bearing or tyre bearings?

Thanks for the help guys...sorry i had to type super long

to confirm whether izit a charging component issue, wire up a voltmeter across battery terminals to ensure electricity is channelled to recharge the battery when the bike engine is running.

there should be slight fluctuations (higher) in voltage reading when u twist the throttle.

as for the 2nd issue, to check cone bearing, put yr bike on main stand and lift front wheel off the ground. turn handlebar left and right. handlebar should turn freely w/o any kinks or stucked feeling. if there is, cone bearings are gone.

to check wheel bearings, besides take out the rims to have a look, u can try shaking the rim/wheel horizontally w/ the wheel off the ground. if it shakes, then wheel bearings are gone. this is applicable for both front and rear wheels.

my 2 cents worth of observations when i c mechanics at work.
