hi,

i saw a good deal in getting a shadow 400cc, in an act of impluse, i bought it from the seller.

however i can only apply for 2a after 21 march.

 

therefore i dont know what to do.

 

1) can i own the bike without insurance and without laid up.

2) My uncle from indonesia wants to be the sub rider is it possible.

3) what should i do, what is the best solution other then dont get the bike. because i already paid deposit.

u can ONLY own the bike(ownership) without insurance and laid up

OR

u can ONLY without owning the bike(ownership) without insurance and without laid up

if he have a singapore class 2A, it's no problem.(even he not your bike owner, as long as have the valid roadtax and insurance is under his name)

best solution from what i can see is to lay up the bike if you dun want to sell it or forfeit your deposit.

With all due respect, its even more foolish to buy a bike when you can't ride it.

Laying up is a simple procedure & will help you save on your insurance & road tax.

 

The way i see it, you can take the 'stupid' step & lay up the bike so you can own the bike without insurance

OR

Pay for insurance & road tax then leave the bike to collect dust in the carpark while you waste $$ -PLEASE DON"T EVEN THINK ABOUT TAKING THE BIKE OUT FOR A JOYRIDE!!

OR

Pay for insurance & road tax & let your uncle be subrider (provided he is legally licensed to ride in Singapore)

OR

forfeit your deposit & look for another bike after you pass your 2A

buying a bike without the valid class of license will only lead to temptation
