Hi everyone, i have this jerky problem when moving off my GTS 200.

The sound is like the belt is slipping off and loosing traction.

 

Fyi, i had changed my belt, roller, clutch set, around 6 month earlier (now milage is less than 4000 km)

The bike shop say is clutch problem, but i keeps having this problem even few day when i had changed the new clutch.

 

Does anyone know what could be other factor causing this problem?

hi Bro.....no worries.....i got the same prob bro...jerky belting early Morning.....its not ur clutch problem bro.....from my thoughts...i think its from the cold start.....i had it numerous times....every morning i want to go to work everyday....but i discover....4 my bike....i juz need to warm it up b4 i move off.....try let ur engine idle until ur temp reaches 2 bar....dats what i did every day now....hehehe.....if u impatient....live wif it and ur engine lifespan at stake.....i smoke a stick each time i ignite my engine....once im done....my bike is fully warm up....hehehe.....i just share u my thoughts....

Bro Wert, my hazard light alway lights automatically and starts blinking the whole night.

So morning cant start the bike, kicking it not as easy as it thought...

 

Where to the workshop(Kallang Ave) machanic diagnostic rotor coils no good so change;damage $325/-.

 

Now still the same problem..so plse advise what is the cause and which is better wkshp to do the job ?

Could be the signal light relay is faulty? I heard that this is quite common for our model.

And it is quite expensive to replace too.

You can try call Tai Hin motor -Jacky or Vincent (tel: 62947997) to find out more.

Their mechanic are very experienced and trustworthy, so i only trust them to service my SYM.

Fyi, Tai Hin had just moved their shop from Kallang ave to Kaki Bukit.

jxing2215 - Nope i didnt add them, i got my bike from paya ubi there.

 

any of your GTS 200 have a rattling sound when riding at high speed?the mechanic told me it is the loose meshing in the exhaust causing the problem but sounding more frequent nw.

Ah Tay, i think you are refering to the battery light on our GTS panel?

1. If it light up when bike is moving, the rectifier is probably charging on the battery, and it will goes off after some ride.

2.But if it light up the moment the ignition key is switched on, then i think it is time to change the battery
