Good deal bro. Once the Maxsym is saleable, you can expect to see the price goes northwards ! Just look at the Tmax and Silverwing now - above $20K !!!

 

:( dont mentioned bout sw again..boohoo...coz i wanna but SW400 but when i hear the price, i cross out the bike and then i saw Maxsym :D

hehehehe...getting the bike next week ;D

hi guys,im new to this auto scoot..its bn 5mths i use..bought 2nd hand at aljunied black,FBE2xxx,mileage 6k-nw 12k..at SGD5k..nd sm info frm seniors here..when to change the belt?hw much to change it?my batt light always on but no problem everyday handstarter-what is the cause?.....last last fri saw a sym gts at marina barrage -the owner with sym group juz went malacca-is this group frm here?tx lots...

 

Haha did u see them ard night time? with quite a number of msian plate gts? if yes then yes its us haha but me and the other guys "semi retired" from the gts thread because the old riders never seem to like to come out to tcss lol.

 

ok btw congrats on ur purchase. belt change is done on the book 12k mileage. but i did change belt 17k before so it shld quite last till then without issues depending on individuals. u change belt, roller, clip all at the same time. correct at this point of writing is $125-165 from various shops i been to. if u want the exact prices and details of the package pm me to find out better.

 

sigh and the battery light thing i encountering the same issue just this week lol. if u figured tt out lemme know haha..

 

E.O i have been changing it at 5k so no issues. again its up to individuals ah. dun quote me if anything wrong lol

Make sure there are no hidden cost! Some shops are very good at this! After putting your signature on the dotted line, they will say excluding ins blah blah blah .............. You guys buy the Maxsym and put up a report here. May consider getting one also ....

 

The best one I heard so far from my friend's bike shop sales man on the day of collection.

"Sorry brother, I forgot to inform you still got to add GST"

I have lost confidence in my GTS to do any long distance riding let alone ride in Singapore!!! Yesterday on the way to work along TPE near Ikea, the same **** happened again. No fuel supply. Had it towed back to Mah Pte this morning. This time the cause is a choke fuel filter!!! WTF! Towed back to bike shop twice within the month!!! ANyone interested to buy a 1 month GTS?

I stand corrected but dun think there's a fuel pump for the GTS ... carb model. Hopefully its smooth sailing from now onwards.

Was at Mah Pte this morning. Saw them fixing reg licence plate on 4 units of MaxSym400i. To all new owners here ... congratz on your new ride. This scoot should give mother honda a run for their money ...

an old fren ride 3yrs already gts say the gts always fuel pump give problem..i have yet to have this problem..maybe someone can share if he saw the pump...tx

HI all,

 

There already a FB which i created sometime ago, is call SSBC (Singapore SYM Bikes Club). Currently is still under construction as i have no time to do it. I also a member of SMBC (SYM MALAYSIAN BIKES CLUB) CENTRAL TEAM. Also I'm glad to see quite a number of sym riders interested to go touring. Currently I'm working with our malaysian counterpart to host some touring trip for SYM. hopefully i can get more respone future.

Some basic information on SMBC.

 

SMBC is divided into two main team. Sym Malaysian Bikes Club New (SMBCN) and Sym Malaysian Bikes Club CENTRAL (SMBC CENTRAL). Soon there will be SMBC SOUTHERN. SMBCN is based on Penang and Central is based on KL. Of couse southern team is based in Johor. Different states in malaysia is divided these 3 wings.

 

PENANG is the HQ of all SYM in malaysia. all malaysia sym is assembly in Penang and send across the country.

They have their own MFG plants. And also they have their own Research and develop department. All SYM mech must be sended to HQ for training before they are dispatch across the service center.

 

SMBC have organised many rides across malaysia. Ones of the most major trip are 5 NATION RIDES. Most of their touring trip, there will be a support team consist of 2 mech, 1 vehicle (Hlux) and all sort of spare parts.

And some trips, there even have MALAYSIAN POLICE as escort.

 

There will be quite number of tour coming up next year. so stay tune
