sorry guys had been very busy preparing for CNY and my oversea trip for work.

 

Pls kindly pm me for all the stuff u are looking for and i will try check out if there are available parts for your model.

 

Pls state model and year type if possible and the stuff you looking for...

hi guys,

my yp 400 lcd is blinking "v-belt"

may i know does it goes on by mileage or is there any sensor detecting the condition of v-belt?? I know the 2nd case it's not likely..but it's my 1st time encountering this blinking "v-belt " sign

both are abt the same.... launch in Japan in 2008 but by the time it reach singapore it's abt 09/10 year that's why sometime when u buy spare parts, go by the model number is better than going by year.

it should be your "v-belt" time up to change liao... and it's by mileage... sometimes people dun follow the mileage hence it's best if u know when was the last change and see if u want to continue ride or change the belting.:)

thanks firestorm for the reply . the v-belt was last change 1.5 years ago by Hong Leong, and traveled for 13,000 km only ... I hope it's because they forgot to reset the v-belt counter .. the transmission was last checked 7,000km ago . the mech told me the belt is new ...I think i better go back to the mech to double check =)))

last time my YP400v-Belt usually it only last me 12K km or 1yr (depend on your riding)

 

but your roller need to change it around 12k,every 3 mth grease it ( think is my riding style)

 

well after i change my riding style it can last up to 25k and they told me still can go but i KS (kia su,se) change it

 

roller best is grease it every 3 mth due to our weather even i buy my grease from my contractor they advise me to re-grease it every 3mth ,from expertise advise ( up to you to decide )

 

too bad i throw away my old belt orelse i can take pic and post it for your referance

I would say I am not the hiong rider , 90% of the time I would accelerate smoothly (rpm stays within 3-4k) from 0-60km/hr , only after 60km/hr then i whack lol ...I really hope my belt can last longer .. it's very expensive to me

I would open up the transmission every 10 -15,000 km to check the belt condition , next checking is 7000km away . I will try to take some pic of my belt =)
