Hi all,

 

new to scootering. Am hopefully being able to sell my existing bike on monday and am thinking of getting actually the YP400 or the Tmax. But feeling unbearable to pay the kinda money Tmax is valued at.

 

Can someone share with me the performance of the YP400. Usually will only be using the bike to get in & out of JB. Thinking of getting scooter in case of jam and would prefer something powerful enough to outrun the cubs in jb in case anything happen as there are some stretch that i travel are pretty secluded.

Have been riding the Majesty for a few months and am enjoying it. Though it is not as smooth as the Silverwing, but power and control wise it is good.

 

Let me know if you plan to get the YP400 as I may contemplate selling mine to buy the newer YP400 selling currently on the bike mart.

Yesterday just went to see the condition of the other bike. Nice color!

 

Which if you are interested would be good too!

 

Outrunning them wouldn't be too much of an issue. But as I have a box, I only hit 140km/h. Most of the guys can do 160km/h easily.

The pickup of the Majesty is pretty good too, though mine currently is a tad slower as I'm trying out a heavier roller.

 

Let the rest of the guys tell you more.

The best single cylinder 400cc scoot. No regrets for me. No major factory hiccups unlike tmax. Exp, the water pump issue most tmax have. Majesty is very reliable, reasonably powerful and compartment is very spacious. For a 2008/09 model u can get it around 7-8k. For the newer models around 9k and above. Go scout around for one or u can get from our dear synman. He takes care of his bike well. No worries whatsoever.

I'm new in this group too. Just pass my 2A on 26th Mar and grabbed a YP400 from shop on 4th Apr. Hmmm as i come from mostly sports bike previously (tzr, tzr, sp, tzr, sfera, sp, sp, 125z and last phantom), i would say its damn comfy. As my bike is not fully done up yet, pickup ain't as good as norz here in this group. But the twist to 160 is easy and smooth acceleration.

 

Control wise i cant comment much as i had it less than a month. But bear in mind I've seen ppl rode a goldwing like bmx... so its ultimately the rider.

 

Big storage space. Looks better than some burgerman. I've considered swing, xciting and maxsym too before grabbing this bike... engine wise i still believe in yamaha and honda.

The majesty by far did not give me any problem.....its like any other bike....use gd oil n look after it n it will served u well....

Storage is plus point as it can swallow 2 full face helmet.....

Nimble n fast as it looks......

Thanks for the the advises guys. Seems like quite a homely group here... am still contemplating.. maybe after i have sold my bike before i go for any viewings...

actually Tmax and YP400, performance wise i think its only the pick up right? the top end is about the same.

Riding rsv4 now.. Was riding quite frequently in the past but changed to driving due to change in job. Not too long back got this rsv4 for weekend fun n trill as well go in n out jb as my gf is Malaysian.

Does it wobble? I rode a ST13 and it starts wobbling at 160-180..

The one on our bike mart is asking for $12k but it is a 2012 Oct bike.

 

Another one on SG Bike Mart also asking for $12k but it is a 2011 Dec bike.

 

Anyway, good luck waiting. I was only prepared to offer $10.5k....

I guess you need a balancer like the Motovation although the current one I'm using is still at ok at 140km/h.

 

The other guys have done 160km/h so they would probably know better coz I was too lazy to remove my box to try for max speed

with my heavier rollers.

 

In fact, we just did a last minute trip to Desaru at nite over the weekend. Lol!

 

Anyway. I'll probably do up my bike and tune up the clutch area nicely. Save my money in the meantime.

The one that's on sale at our bike mart. She posted in forums as well and adjusted to 11.8k. My friend sold his 1yr tmax 530 for 16.5k... How I wished he held on to it a little longer.. Lol
