Hi Bro, si mi is "valve clearance?".... pai sei....

 

Chong say when i start my bike, i need to rev abit to maintain the engine running. There is imcomplete combustion of fuel so need to clear the valve. Something like that. HAHA !

Check with you all, when you spin your tyres when the bike is on the main stand, can you hear metal rubbing sound?

Hi all ! Saw so many bros at AC yesterday. Meeting at the wrong cause but it was nice meeting u all.:angel:

 

Just to share yesterday repair, my bike can't start in the morning.

The batt was changed two months ago.

Ah Chong was saying the rectifier was spoil so batt can't function properly to start.

Rectifier was changed for $120.

 

Next follow up will be valve clearance ! But this 1 abit expensive.

 

Roughly how much does Ah Chong charge for valve clearance?

Ard $300, but he say must put for 2 weeks because he is very busy.

2 weeks of no transport is quite crazy

How about a trip to our long-overdue plan to visit Kota Tinggi Waterfall?

We could make it on Sunday morning, back by 5pm.

Either coffee session there or soak in the natural massage.

Suggested date is 20th, 27th July or 3rd Aug.

 

It'd be a no stressed-ride as it's pretty near.

 

Paiseh ! Sunday is always family day for me.

Yup, 2 weeks without transport is crazy... Have you tried the Yamaha agent, Hong Leong? Maybe they can get it done faster... But not sure on the pricing.

Dun think agent will be cheap though I've never use Hong Leong but did use Boon Siew once when I was riding my Silverwing.

 

I only needed to change my clutch pad. The labour was like about $150.

 

But you can always ask them for a quote 1st before proceeding but if they were anything like Yamaha music, you would have to

pay for assessment 1st before deciding on the job afterwhich if you are going ahead with the job, they will offset the

assessment fee from the price of repair.

Valve clearance at $300? Rvf 16 valve only cost 100+. Majesty 4 valve $300? Bro u better go around asking other shops for pricing. Sometimes ac price is sky high.
