if say i got my license on jan 2001 so i have 12 pts for my probation period which is 1yr till jan 2002 right? den if during the time i got deducted 8pts on feb 2001, when will my license restore to 12 pt? on jan or feb 2002?

 

and when will it restore to 24pts den?

i last year sept08 summom then i pass on june08..tis year june i wi have 12pt so tota got 18 point then i year after the summom tat is tis year sept09 i will have 24pt..is it true..

Actually it is very simple... let's say I pass on 01/01/08,

I will have 13 points as a P plate.

if I kena demerit 6 points on 15/02/08.

I will have 24-6=18points on 01/01/09.

I will only have 24 points on 15/02/09.

bike (2b, 2a, cl2 is same set) got own set of pts. car got own set of pts. any of the set hits above 24 points ALL ur liscence suspended. If any "suspended for more or equal 12mths, all are revoked.

 

no need worry car got 13 pts still p plate, bike 24 pts. if car revoke bike stay anot? no need to think so complicated which will stay, which is revoked. answer is all revoked, sadly.

They do not have own sets of demerit points. Please do be specific.

 

Eg, Your bike passed probation, and you now have a allowance of 24 points.

 

You got a new car licence. All your demerit points are set back to 12 points for your licence (it means both car and bikes together now) for a year. You dont need to put a p plate on your bike. Only the car in the above scenerio needs to.

 

In the event that in this probation period (meaning your car that is now linked to your bike licence demerit points); you suddenly accumulated 13 points driving a car.

 

Both your car and bike licence may be suspended. You need to appeal in the courts, to hopefully still save your bike licence.

 

As some forumers here had posted, they were somehow lucky to be gantong their car licence but managed to keep their bike licence. It most likely depends on the situation where you got your 13 demerit points.

 

Its also vice versa. Some may manage to lost their bike licence, but still keep their driving licence, if the situation lets say, the demerit point is on the bike incidents and you need the car licence to maintain a living, aka taxi driver/delivery driver/job requirements.

I apologised for being vague. If I remember correctly. Demerit points are meant for two years. there is so far no amendments to it. But the way of doing things has changed.

 

So what we are trying to tell you is. You will revert to 24-8=16 points as of Jan 2002.

 

You will then further revert to 24 points after Feb 2002.

 

And what I was trying to say is....In the event that you got a major deduction again during the period of Feb 2001 and Feb 2003.

 

They will lump your Feb 2001 points deducted to your current offence before Feb 2003 and try to revoke your licence.
