I think it's not deleted. All combine into one. So you may have to look for it around here.

You can search by the date posted.

If in doubt just post here.

What do you want to know?

User manual should have most of the info.

Otherwise just shoot here :D

If you are free, just make one long list and shoot everything here.

Hi parotae,

I riding 300cc de and my moving off is ard 3500 to 4000rpm. check with you normally for servicing in which milleage u will do wat?

For the first servicing at 800km do you change oil filter?

I suspect your scoot (New DT300) may be updated with improved performance.

You see, some if not most of us suffer the vibration when moving off. Not as bad now just occasionally.

If you don't feel any harsh vibration then i guess Kymco may have raise the rpm to counter the vibration. Another way is to find the same batch of DT3 that are bought around your time and compare. Best to go MS while waiting for service you can look see around and ask around and test test.

Have you check your fuel consumption and top speed?

hmmm, my DT300 still got the vibration when moving off. and 5krpm is ard 60-70kmph need to rev up to 5.5krpm to go above 70-100 den ard 6 is 110kmph. still no chance to go higher speed yet. and throttle seem to be abit tight.

My 5000rpm around 60km/h too.

CVT(Constant Variable Transmission) must rev to higher rpm to reach higher speed than goes back down(rpm) to appropriate gear ratio to the speed.

Mine 100km/h about 5600rpm(New belt) 5900-6100rpm(Old belt).

6500rpm(Peak Torque)@120km/h

If you rev higher and back off the throttle the cruising rpm will be lower than hold the throttle to the speed. If you know what i mean.

Unless you can DIY, bike shop usually recommend as a whole set due to being economical (cost incur to open up casing to check) for customer and eliminate any guessing game when something goes wrong or if there's funny noises afterwards.

A typical set will be belt, rollers and U-shoes. Variator replacement will depend on how badly worn it is.

Generally the roller and u-shoe will wear about the same timing as your belt replacement. No point trying to save some money at the expense of noise and performance.

Shops recommendation i will leave to those who service their scoot at bike shop.

I don't think other bike shop stock Kymco belt, so going back to MS seems natural. You can look for @ProFatSir for option too.

You can try LAB, he got everything LOL!

So parotae u do ur own servicing?

Yes I do. Basic maintenance like changing oil, oil filter, gear oil, belt, roller, u-shoe and brake pads only.

So far electronics don't give problems, I'm fine.

What you mean wash carb?? Erh, nowadays engines are Fuel Injection. You'll be hard pressed to find a brand new carbuerattor engine on sale now (maybe except for RXZ135).....

MMM!!! HAHA! can teach?

Teach? We learn from each other can. Quite simple, just need to familiarize and get your hands dirty.

You mean servicing at bike shop? Carb and CVT are at different places so i guess you can choose to do them separately.

IMO, if your bike don't suffer any symptoms of fuel problems don't have to service them. Just tuning maybe. Cause i rode a Skipper 150 4Tfor 8 years and never service before ha ha. Maybe that's why i got high fuel consumption of 21km/L.

Engine is infront of the CVT.

A typical Scooter engine layout.

Just let me know when you want to do it and see if i am available. I have the impact wrench bought from autobacs bukit batok at about $99(Digital).

Why not just adjust the idling screw?
