Ya ok. Just a small blue black on my right elbow using it to stop the bike from landing fully. Guess it didn't work ha ha. Thanks for the concern :)

Happen while doing a low speed small circle turn trying to scrape the exhaust further. Today scrap again while cornering and it wobble and gave me a fright. So wanna grind more off, there's a slimy patch I did not anticipate and then....

The first 2 pics not so bad, minor scratch

Whoa!

I've almost encountered such thing too -> When doing U-turns.

There was once, actually, just ytd, I turn the wheel too sharply, ended up while turning, I stretched out my right leg, and scoot the bike along while moving. Haha.

Fortunately, it was slow enough to not cause any broken bones.

But the good thing I found out about scooters [those with legrests] is that it's almost impossible to make the scooter fall on its side. At most, it'll just tilt.

That's another advantage for scooters!

Thanks for the info.

About Bridgestone, you must check is it for touring. If it is usually cannot corner too steep like sport can. Usually the touring the curve not that u-shape.

Well, what I need most now is wet weather performance.

The rest such as cornering performance, can take 2nd place lah.

But I check on Bridgestones local website, only B02 Pro and B03 Pro has sizes for front and rear respectively, and Michelin has the Pilot Sport to match the size too.

Ahh.... Must also have fast warm up time. The current set of Maxxis takes ages to warm up.

I think if your concern is on the wet weather, you should just go ahead and change to the Michelins. Maybe the reason why the Michelins are cheaper is because they don't last as long.

I use to have the Dunlop Radial on my sport bike a long time ago. It only last me about 3 months....:p

Cost me a bomb though. But performance wise, it is really awesome. The tyres feels really sticky on a normal day after

a run.

Yeap. Haha.

If it takes super long for Bridgestone's stock to arrive, I'll settle for Michelins.

The current set of tyres, go over metal long kang cover, skid like xiao. Go over wet road markings also will make the handlebar wobble....

Haha.

I think that is a sure sign that your tyres are totally worn out. When I max out my tyres on my SW previously, same thing.

Almost fell when going over the metal grill cover.

You mean if use very good tires go over long kang grill, man hole, road marking will have little skid when wet?

I think how good the tires, if wet over those stuff will still skid/slide no?

Michelin PS SC then 7 years ago don't grip well when dry already. Don't know if now still the same?

How about Diablo? Silverwing thread mention not as good as Metzeler I think. Wait I go confirm...

actually, i am very keen on the feelfree WINTEC that is supposed to be very good for wet conditions. thread pattern for both are similar except that WINTEC has many small "worm" patterns (see below pic). compound wise, think WINTEC's may be softer and less durable.

http://www.metzelermoto.com/en_IT/browser/attachments/images/Catalogue/Scooter_Moped/Scooter/Feelfree_wintec_det.jpg

was at ACM last 2 weeks ago and ah choong helped me check with his supplier but supplier said they didn't bring in. ah choong mentioned that using soft compound is very shiong on the pocket due to fast wearing; he say may need to change like every 6 months for high usage riders.

for me, i prefer to pay a bit more for better wet grip over durability, especially when it rains so often nowadays. and hey, i ride my bike only 1~2 times a week nia other than touring, so should last a year :p

now looking around in the internet for deals... order (if within budget) then ship direct to workshop

How about this? The current set of tyres made me almost skid while riding in Multi-storey carparks. Is that bad enough? Haha

Multi storey carpark are usually slippery especially when wet. If you notice, when cars going up or down it usually make alot of noise because of the lack of grip. Even cars so heavy also don't grip well, imagine a bike. Well if you change already still slip on the multi storey carpark how?

So far i haven't skid on multi storey carpark maybe because i know the grip is bad so i ride slowly. You must be racing...in the multi storey carpark ha ha ha.

Nice Kitty, ha ha simply bo chup even when you snap near. Look at that stretching pose. Later then scratch! scratch! scratch!

@synman

When you say back variator do you mean the clutch?

This morning I had a call from my mechanics asking me to take the bike to the garage to do some checks for Kymco UK. I took it to them during my lunch hour and they meassured the bell and inspected it carefully to see if it had a bent or something. they seem happy with the state of the bell.

Now as per their conversation with Kymco UK whilst I was there, they have ordered an improved version of the clutch. I am not sure what do they mean by improved??? they took my VIN number so I assume they already know that I have the LGE5, I am crossing my fingers that there is newer version but don't want to keep my hopes too high, if such thing existed I am sure you guys will get it before us in Europe.

Will let you know what it is as soon as they get it.

I had the clutch replaced today but as I was expecting it is the same LGE5, the pads are the same (dark yellow colour).

On the way from the garage to my office the bike felt ok the same way it feels when I cleaned the clutch and sanded the pads. I will not keep my hopes too high as I don't see how putting exactly the same thing the problems will go away. We will see, I might have to ask Santa to get me a Dr. Pulley for Christmans :).

Hopefully its improve with a heavier weight.

It seems that the LEA7 clutch is lighter than LGE5.

Yours maybe the LGE5 but maybe heavier.

Or maybe the new K-XCT clutch using the improved LGE5?

Maybe, Unfortunately I was not able to see the date stamp on it, maybe a job for the weekend :).

Nah. I wasn't going fast at all in MSCP.

I'll give a call to JC or is it JR, and ask about Metzeler tyres.

Ok. Metzeler themselves quoted me at $170 for both front and rear.

Their authorised dealer will install at $29 more, so total cost is $199.

They also carry Pirelli, with installation, it'll cost $175.

I guess I'll go with Pirelli!

Metzeler FeelFree.... No Wintec, cos that's for winter countries, hence the name.

Pirelli is the Diablo. Is that good? Cos from the pics, there's like fewer treads....
