First-Ever Cross Threads Outing

 

Introduction:

It had always been a practice in sbf for each thread to organise their own outings and gatherings.

And it hit upon me that instead of keeping to one thread/one make of bike, why not widen our circles and meet riders of similar interest?

 

As a first attempt to organise a cross-threads outing, we are inviting riders of all make, types, classes of bikes, with the link posted in krr150, nsr150sp/rr, tzm150, cbr150, babymitto, rs125, r125, nsr250, rs250, babyblade, rvf400, gsxr400, zx4, m2b threads; covering most 2b/a sportsbikes.

 

Main objective of this gathering/outing is for riders of different threads to meet each other, widening friendships, and have fun! =)

 

Althought link is posted only in above mentioned threads, feel free to invite friends who are riding other bikes as well.

 

Once again emphasizing this is an open-to-all-bikes event.

Destinations:

 

From past experiences, we decided to keep exact locations unknown to all first.

 

Activities would be late dinner/supper, followed by riding to a nice scenic popular hangout for couples, before punching card at that well know place for engines.

It will be on a saturday's night, and we will be expecting quite a big turn-up. Thus all hot-spots would be avoided, in our routes and destinations. Time on hot-roads will be minimized. Special parking place will be allocated. To minimize risk, card-punching would be the last destination; as late as possible.

hey.. wanna ask.. if i start the bike, but keep cranking cannot start, until i open throttle then can start, is it normal or is it a sign that some parts need replacement???

unless u cranking more than 30 sec.

as long as bike can start, consider as no problem when starting.

I think that will be normal if u r cold starting in the morning as the fuel is drained to the bottom, u need to throttle to inject fuel for combustion.

need to know that when was the last valve clearance had been done

 

try out on:

1.carb service and tuning

2.air fillter cleaning OR replace

3.SparkPlug replacement(susgestion platinium OR iridium)

 

after done above services,

try out 1 full tank(note down the FC)

then try on the nanoballs:thumb: (c what the diffrent)

 

anyway, need to know your riding habit also

Cold start in the morning usually require like less than 1 sec of cranking, warm/hot bike requires like 4 to 5 secs of crank + throttle.

Fierce sia..thread worn off change the whole pump ah? This one not like water bottle leh.. cap lost buy new bottle lol.. is there a need to change the whole pump or not :S just get some white tape for taping home water taps and try tighten it ah.

 

if its ur mech that advice u a new pump.. better watch out.

new water pump about 130-150.

 

as Supera said, noneed change the water pump also.

 

another way is re-tap the thread, M6 change to M8(M7 if available.)

Its definately not a power cut.. the only bike that i know cuts at this kinda speed is yamaha's R125 which cut power at abt 134km/h.

 

Probably some portion of ur CDI/Electronics having problem. Anyway do u have any problem going to 14.5k rpm on the 1st 2 gears? or rather do u feel that ur bike has problems reaching its peak RPM on low gears as well?

 

Dunno much abt singapore shops but u can try K&T or bikewerks, haven heard any bad review from there.
