Just came back from test riding my bike. No more stuttering when moving off, and best of all got back 1st time start.

So the battery was the culprit after all.

Anyone here got bring home a new batt and DIY install yourself. I did and it was my 1st time too.

 

Now I wondering if I did it correctly.

 

When I opened the box, inside was a white container with many partitions and and one batt with holes.

 

So as I have seen mech do this before. I opened the seal of the batt, then I placed the white container with the liquid on top of it and pop it and liquid went into the batt, usually I see mech will squeeze to make it flow faster, but I was patient and waited for it to flow in completely.

 

Ok this is the part I dunno if I screwed up. After the liquid was in, I tried to close the lid that says "DO NOT OPEN". But I could not close it as the liquid was reacting to the batt and there were gas produced. So I waited awhile till the reaction was lesser then I closed the lid. Ok the thing that I think I screwed up is, I think I should have waited till there was totally no more reaction then closed the lid. Any one knows if there is any significance to when you close the lid? Thanks.

I read your post again, I realise you said is leak at the water pump link. Leak at water pump link is not normal as far as I know. Which part bro?

Maybe they nv put item 12 properly in.

 

As far as bleeding for coolant, when you flush out all the coolant and top up new coolant, you pour in the coolant at the radiator till full, then you start your bike and the coolant level will drop and you top up some more, repeat till the level doesn't drop. This is the bleeding that I know of.

hmm no bro when the water pump they fix, item 12 they didnt open. they just fix. the leak doesnt come from hoses but from u knw like the shaft joining the water pump to the engine? the rod there. the leak is abit but after every ride i park sure have. nt coolant $55 but the water pump they quote me $190. to fix additional $15. and coolant additional 10. like easy to fix from wat i see. a noob kanna rob by shop. haizz

Like that should be item 11, did they change a new O ring? Or they use back the old one? Seems to be that that O ring has worn off and the mech just used back the old one.
