Not exactly that alot of people are looking for L model. More are juz hearsay from fren that L model is faster and has better pickup. Some buyers would rather buy a new model given that the price difference aint that great and there are getting a newer machine.

As for the test between you and your friend, I'd say that irregardless of model, it depends mainly on the condition of the bike. Having own a L model for almost 5yrs and juz sold off recently, I'd say the bike has been very carefully taken care on its engine and parts. Power curve is slightly better in low end in comparison to it's sister, the R model, and also a slightly better top end.

Screw is for Rebound Adjustment.

Only R model has Cartridge Forks, all the rest of the blades are using Damping Rods.

R model has Preload and Rebound Adjustment.

er.. got something to ask about fireblade 400 trackers, did u guys scratch ur farrings during the bends(not buang)? Cos im using original footrest and i picked up some scratches on the track... i intend to change to racing footpegs so i will not bua my footpegs and able lean further more, but den again, i tot that it might be pointless cos i will end up getting a hole in my farrings... any advice?

nope, is it ur suspension being set too low causing not enough clearance for ur fairings.

Sliding ur footpegs might be due to incorrect posture during cornering.
