yo guys, gona change my chain and spocket soon, need advices on type and size of spockets etc..

 

i intend to get DID O ring chain but not sure wat length and original honda spockets but not sure wat size best for pickup and topend. Mine is R model so intend to have one with pickup but worried no top end coz mine is power cut.....:sian:

I dunno how true is it, I was told tat if u chance ur spocket for pick up you will not get good top end and vice verser. So conderside properly which one u wan. I think for local we need better pick up rather then top end coz in SG hi top can u go?

I juz change my chain to DID O'Ring For $180 include front and back honda orginal spocket.

 

Front - 15

Back - 39

 

My Feedback is i feel more lighter than before... got the top end cos i went to Kulai one week after that... Travel at 160km/h .. but cant really try top cos at time time, too many cars on the road.

 

Pick up still ok lo.. no much problem.

2005 - 2007 Honda Cbr FireBlade 400 (FN543E)

2007 - 2010 Suzuki Gsx-R K7 1000 (AU222D)

I will be doing mine next week as well and will be getting this setup:

 

14tooth front (1 less than standard)

 

42 tooth rear alloy sprocket (renthal or similar) If I can I will go for a 43 or 44 tooth rear but might be hard to find here.

 

DID 520 size Gold X-ring chain.

 

Even with that combination there will be not noticable loss of top end. With standard sprocket sizes the CBR400 cannot reach the top of 6th gear anyway so you are just taking that power from the top that you can never even use and shifting it down a bit.

Top Speed? Anyone one Knows the top speed for CBR RRR Model? MIne is that model, tried my bike, no power cut, clear meter, a class 2 bike clocked me at 200+ only, can go up but dun dare due to lousy helemt ( not Full Face one)

 

And also if i buy a FF helmet from other countries, can i wear it in Singapore? My visor is those reflective type, pls advise. Thx a million!!!

without the approval stickey dun think U can wear, esp if its a tinted visor confirm cannot pass ah.

wifout approval PSB sticker, if u get into accident, insurance may not cover u..

normally tp will close one eye on this...

helmet wif reflective eg. chrome is illegal in singapore..

the fine is oso diff from normal tinted visor fine...

for those reflective visor will bring u a :deal: of $50 fine and 3 demerit points..

sh*t ar.... lolx.. go thailand buy a quite nice looking helmet. But comes with that reflective visor leh.. think i go buy the visor from ah boy can liao..

wa ur 'R'model still can reach 200 plus.. Mine can reach 240++ Clocked by Suzuki K4... think can le la.. this kind of speed Rvf also cannot REach

So the rear spocket we muz use 39 or 42........
