i have a likely problem too but mine abit different . if i drag or above 80~90 , my handle bar will vibrate alot . could it be my steering cone bearing ?

 

handle bar vibration alot can be cause by a few reasons..

1) loose balancers - use yr hand to try pull the balancers. make sure the balancers are secured on the bars firmly..

 

2) wheel bearing spoil - jack the front wheel and try push the wheel out of plane(direction along the brake calipers).. the wheel should be firm if the bearing is ok.

 

3) tyre - if the wear and tear is not uniform, the vibration will increase too. there should not be any "humps" when u see the type profile sideways.

 

4) steering cone - jack the front wheel up. turn the bar left and rite.. ensure there is no "gap" while going thru the motion. if there is, the steering cone is spoil..

starter carbon is something to close the circuit of the starter motor so that the motor will work when current is pass thru..

diff shop may charge diff..

cos some will change the whole motor(easier job)..

motor cost 200 plus

if juz change the starter carbon, cost abt 60 to 80 plus bucks..

i check my balancers and my tire just change less den 6mth . i myself suspect is steering cone . will go to bike shop and check it out . thanks for ur help
