I was riding my bike on ecp today. As i was riding half way suddenly my bike got no electricity... As in all the lights on the bike suddenly dun work... The speedo and tacho also. But the thing is the bike still work.

 

Then as the bike still can move i tried to travel home. everything seems normal except when i reach rpm5 the bike suddenly sound like machine gun and i experience ''HUGE'' lost of power. i slowed down and when it reached below rpm5 all is normal again...

 

 

wat is the possible reasons... i have to work not much time to travel to bike shops... so i wanna know wat is the prob and approximately how much do i need for the repairs so i can prepare myself....

where you stay? if ang mo kio, i can help u . also kanna before. same as u. fuse spoil only. if u got spare one, can change urself. on the left corner of ur fairing, if don have then maybe behind seat. can try.

need any fuse can call me, Ben here. nine eight five five two seven nine zero.. hehehe.. =) u can try change the fuse first. if cannot then i dont know already..

i dun recommend exhaust wrap for cbr400 as the header will rust over time..

the wrap will hinder the inspection of header when there is a leak somewhere..

yes it does get hot, tt's wad the coolant is for. but make sure ur meter doesnt go too high up. mine used to be very hot too. the temp meter was cleared. but after i change the radiator n all the coolant piping, it nv go pass the M alphabet from the TEMP wording.

yea man same here haha eva since i changed my radiator my temp will nva go beyond M even in jams, the most it would go is M and it wun stay there for long cos the fan will start to cool it off... big bikes = hots bikes haha...

i think it's a total of 600 bucks. i changed all the pipes, not sure if it's ex anot.

i change the 2 metal pipe inside, dunno wad theromet thingy. cos there's a serious leakage inside.

yes, its feel hot, but the temp meter doesn't go high is ok :cheeky:

mine already upgrade to GSXR400's radiator.

quite lot work for changing the 2 metal pipe :sian:

 

i guess is thermostat :cheeky:

its a valve to keep your engine warm, and let your engine operate in correct temperature,

i am abit regret remove my thermostat :(

wad do u mean not all model is illegal? i try using blueflame be4, inspection canot pass and lta dun wanna to produce cert already after cbr400 for 5th bike. dissapointed man. good and loud pipe.. but den consider illegal mah coz no cert. but as wad i noe in singapore there's only 4 cbr400 that use blueflame with cert. heard from bike shops. :angel:

oh i juz change tat not long... it cost around $250... tat have 4 pieces of plate..

I forget which one already. Inside only got 4 or 5 if I'm not wrong , u just take out and check which one break.. Btw, u haven't change ah?

CBR1000RR's fuse and CBR400RR's is totally different :cheeky:

CBR1000RR's fuse same as S4 :)

its smaller.

mine is NC23, 6pcs, less then $100, DIY,

even noneed change EO and drain out EO also.

cos normally the fuse giving problem to the bike is ign fuse. if the ign fuse is melted instead of blow. very soon the problem will arise.

i seldom change fuse unless there is a need after inspecting each of them..

my temp always hit till p. some time still can clear temp meter. allt he way till h. zz. damn sian.

 

coolant level ok?

fan working?

No RPM is not running... Few days back still ok.. How much for changing the Wire?

 

most probably change the RPM meter.

unless your is really lucky, the RPM meter socket loose.
