My CBR Hurricane RPM not moving if i need to change does it mean whole piece got to replace? e.g. Speedo , Fuel meter ..? anyone can help?

well got my bike back from unique motors today... appearantly my wiring was f*ck up... resulting in some short circuit that damaged my rectifier switch as well...

 

change wiring $50... rectifier switch $30... towing $20(i dare not ride there)

u can turn off your rectifier when u want :angel:

your rectifier sure can long lasting.

 

not cheap a rectifier, cost u S$60 to 120 :cheeky:

rect is not advisable to make a switch..

cos of the constant ac from alternator, very soon the rect will fry again..

somemore batt is needed to maintain a certain voltage all the time.. if forget to switch on the rect and use the batt completely flat.. batt will spoil easily and give more problem to start the bike..

morning all. can check with you all? my voltage will drop a few decimals while i am riding constantly. example from 12.6 to 11.7 or 11.8 den go back to 12.4 or sometime. it's not stable one. is it normal?

maybe he wanna try diff engine type on track..

v-twin engine work rather diff from a inline engine..

especially the power band..

should not drop too much..

if there is big fluctuation, the reason can be

 

1) poor quality/spoil voltmeter

2) weak alternator - have weak charging especially the bike is hot

3) malfunction rect

4) weak wire harness where u tap the voltmeter.

-My bike engine, the sound not constant. Why is that so? Carb wrong setting?

-When i start the bike after parking overnite, it will rev up a little by itself then go down to rpm 1. Then next it will have the sound like one hollow sound then my engine die. Every day i nid to rev my bike at 1.5 or 2. issit normal?

 

Sorry. i just bought the bike and it causing me alot of probs. Top block just change, piston new. Now running in. Running in how many click? And how fast should we go? My whole piston jam. then the top block pecah. cause they never tell me that they overhaul the bike and change new piston. then ride until 160km/h then the whole bike jam and white smoke coming out from pipe. anyone had experience this? sianz :sian:

few reason there:-

-valve clearance

-alternator coil issue

-Ignition coil

abnormal, like out of carb synchronize.

that terrible......1000km for the run-in and use the mineral EO (cheapest EO),max 120km/h at various speed, just RPM dont going till red line, change the EO after 1000km.

just sharing my S4PB1 run-in experience, new bearing, new piston and ring :cheeky:

thought u last time say u know the people at the bike shop and can trust them on ur bike.. how come now so jialat??? when just overhauled and running in.. best nt to over 5k rpm..

Hi guys, hope to share yr expertise with my recurring problem.

 

my bike could crank start normally with pretty constant idling. While stationery, it would just killed off randomly meaning, the rpm suddenly drop to zero. However, as i am riding, the engine would just died off and restart automatically.

 

few things that are alrdy checked: battery voltage constant at 14.2 without headlight, engine on/off switch and side stand sensor, earth wire, spark plug cable. All working properly. Anyone has this problem or expertise to share?

Very much agree it isnt rectifier or coil as i did monitor the charging, no issue at all, with headlight on and riding, it shows 13.8 which is pretty norm. I believe it has something to do with plug cable/plug coil. However, alrdy sent to mechanic for a check and rewrap one of the plug cable. It was ok for 1wk, afterwhich i rode the bike under a hot and sunny afternoon, the prob came back. Wondering if anyone changed their plug cable/ plug coil before?

 

Anyway, i read the past few pages, u guys are really helpful. I sold my previous cbr to one of my close friend and this thing happen, very guilty abt giving him this kindof prob, hope to find some solution here.
