Very much agree it isnt rectifier or coil as i did monitor the charging, no issue at all, with headlight on and riding, it shows 13.8 which is pretty norm. I believe it has something to do with plug cable/plug coil. However, alrdy sent to mechanic for a check and rewrap one of the plug cable. It was ok for 1wk, afterwhich i rode the bike under a hot and sunny afternoon, the prob came back. Wondering if anyone changed their plug cable/ plug coil before?

 

Anyway, i read the past few pages, u guys are really helpful. I sold my previous cbr to one of my close friend and this thing happen, very guilty abt giving him this kindof prob, hope to find some solution here.

ya, when i sold e bike, it didnt and nv encounter this prob before thats y i still couldnt figure out e prob.

 

Sometimes, its abt ethics and conscience u see. Erm..on fact, yes, i sold without any problem and he agreed to the condition when handing over. Nevertheless, even an unknown buyer i will also help him/her out not to say a close friend of mine :)

Hi guys, hope to share yr expertise with my recurring problem.

 

my bike could crank start normally with pretty constant idling. While stationery, it would just killed off randomly meaning, the rpm suddenly drop to zero. However, as i am riding, the engine would just died off and restart automatically.

 

few things that are alrdy checked: battery voltage constant at 14.2 without headlight, engine on/off switch and side stand sensor, earth wire, spark plug cable. All working properly. Anyone has this problem or expertise to share?

u ask this question b4.. and i ask to check whether the problem happens when is not full tank petrol.

there is reason for that question. as the fuel pump getting faulty, the fuel pump may not do its part to pump the petrol to the carb when the tank is not full. when the tank is full, the weight of the petrol will ease the pump and allow the petrol to flow in the carb..

Morning guys . got some problem that need ur all advise . my voltmeter show 12.5~12.9 when headlight is on with riding . izit normal ? i just change new battery and full wiring/full hardness

why buy hurricane header? i got one shop that sell legal header. 4-1. standard cbr is 4-2-1 header. Cost arnd $550. Chrome in color. interested can come down with me to bike shop at ubi. =) i havent see yet and havent tried anyone wanna try can try and give feedback.

inspection if im nt wrong they seldom check the header.. if u are talking abt legal header, getting a hurricane header also legal mah.. i've only heard of yoshi carburator for blades.. so far none abt headers.. getting hurricane header is because the diameter of it is the biggest compared to the other models..

yup. can pass inspection one. brand i not sure. from wad i now i ask them dey are sure can pass inspection. nothing wrong with the header.

 

better check the header before make the purchase..

in SG mkt, there is no legal aftermkt exhuast for cbr400..

or the pass of inspection is let them go inspection on yr behalf..

btw my LV exhaust if i cut the silencer to shorter will it affect my bike inspecion?

 

they use a db monitoring device to check for the exhuast sound..

the legal limit is 110. anything more than that will fail the inspection.
