what i've experienced i think every lta or motor fine you get in singapore they will normally give you a chance for first timers.It depends how far and what kind of effort you're willing to put in to get a chance to get it waived off or reduced.

 

even if they do not waive the whole amount,they will reduce it.you can even appeal again after they rejected your first appeal.if all else fails,try to see mp and give valid and reasonable reasons of course.im very sure for first timers,they will give you a chance,being it waived or reduced.just my thoughts and experience

hey guys.... need some quick advice.... My gearbox just konked out on me.... i brought my bike to my usual shop and he tested it.... he says gears 1,2 & 3 are damaged.... So he's gotta open up the engine to change these gears and thus gonna change the gasket and bearings.... he's quoted me 1.2k to 1.5k total.... but the thing is the gears are 2nd hand but the gasket and bearings will be new.... Plus gonna change engine oil, coolant and oil filter.....

 

Is this a fair price???

And should i do it???

yes..be it u tong ur SP or KR pipe or take out your big bike silencer.. all S$700..

from what i noe gasket n bearings better to get new ones.. gears can get 2nd hand provided good condition (i guess majority of us dunno how to check), unless u are willing to pay more, u can order new ones... price wise im nt sure.. u gotta check with others..

which shop u go to ?

haf u try other well-known shop?

rather than inspect with eyes, i think there is no other way to check the gear condition.

Yeah man.... i felt it when like engaging the gears it like kinda chokes and can feel the vibration so i quickly just brought it to the shop.... but i didnt try 4th or 5th gear.... scared lah.... i rode back at like 40 to 60 all the way....
