morning guys. i need some help...

 

this morning when i want to start my bike, it die off on me when i press the E-start button. when i turn on the bike, everything was okay. it's only when i press the E-start button then all the electric is beening cutted off. i off the bike and wait for awhile n on again, the power is back but when i press the E-start, it's cutted off again. i try this method for a few time hoping it will start my bike but the electric didnt come back in the end.

my friend said the batt was alright cos before i press the estart, the horn is working fine n loud.

The horn check can onli determine the voltage of the batt roughly. In order to crank start the bike, is voltage and current. That y there are so many batt type for diff bike even thou all bike batt is a 12V batt.

check main fuse 30A at the starter relay (inside left hand side rear fairing).

 

check the starter relay. detached the plug connector and re attach again.

 

then, put a bit of oil inside ignition key assembly. sometimes the contact point inside the ignition key assembly is rusty, thus prevent current flow.

 

lets see the result.

 

if the problem persist, might have to check the fuse box.

Guys,i feel my speedometer needle very light and not stable.Issit the speedometer spoil or the speedometer cable?

 

the meter spring in the speedometer have lost its strength le..

alex, any shop could replace the hairspring ? seems like mine also having the same problem. from what i heard b4, the magnet and the hairspring determine the accuracy of the meter.

is not the magnet that having the problem as magnet strength can last very long even more than 10 years without losing its properties.

as for the spring, there is no spare replacement parts for it..

unless u found a old working meter spring of a crushed/cracked meter and interchange the parts.

halo sorry to bother you guys.. i'm riding a cbr400 as well.. i have some problem with the coolant pump, is there any recommended shops that i can send it in to ?

thanks Alex. I have VFR400 NC30 meter (thanks FX :angel:), the parts inside the meter looks identical. from your opinion, do u think the meter will read as cbr meter ? vfr nc30 is '18 rear (same with hurricane nc23), while cbr fireblade is '17 rear.

just to share what's the cause of the problem. i got it tolled to the bikeshop and they found out it's the ignition switch that is spoilt and causing the bike to cut off the electric whenever i press the E-start. :cheeky:

o yah zul,

as i was used fireblade is 17inc rear rim also, my meter(NC23 speedometer STD) readings same as the GPS.

99% same as GPS.

plus installation, towing should be around there :cheeky:

 

if come with the fuel tank lock/key and rear seat lock/key, that really cheap....
