cbr400 is one of my choices..

 

i was thinking of upgrading to either S4 RVF CBR DRZ GSXR GSR for class 2A..

 

but $$ is one of the biggest factor.. and i dont wanna get a lemon, if not have to spend a lot of $$ to repair..

Try to narrow it down based on preference.

1st question i have for all the ladies n gentlemen here is............. anyone noe where to change the meter back face...? cos the 1 i'm getting has a faded meter face... xD

hi and welcome back to riding world!

 

You can do it yourself. go find scrap NSR150 SP and get the meter. the NSR150 SP meter overlay is the best choice for replacement in my opinion (as they have the indicator up to 240km/h). U also can use CBR900RR (old model) and VFR/RVF overlay meter. their overlay have the same size and screws mounting.

the overlay is just secured by 2 screws. carefully detached the needle first.

actually i am fine with most of the 2a bikes. they are more or less the same in my opinion, although they are not really the same in actual fact.

 

im more concerned with the cash and bike having lots of problem issue.

hi all, im a newly cbr400 rider, i need some info regarding on tyre for cbr400.

-wats e ideal psi/kps for BT090 front and rear?

-any other choice of tyre to recommend?

 

i ride as daily transport usage, hardly push while cornering de..

thinking of getting a more durable front tyre, any advise?

you can try pirelli diablo tyre. sshiiok when cornering. stick well.. psi is 33 and 36. usually i pump 34 and 37 coz the shell pump not that accurate..

pirelli diablo which one?i use to have pirelli diablo,its actually for cruiser bikes.i find tat the grip is nt there.i change to pilot power which i think gt a better grip than diablo

pilot power is gd..

better grip but tend to grip unnecessary stuff that cause u need to change tyre again..

hi guys.

 

i know this topic i'm gonna bring up has been discussed quite a number of times.

 

i really wish to clarify my doubts.

 

i just changed my coil and rectifier just now.

however, when my bike was left to idle my voltmeter shows 12V exactly while the mechanic's voltmeter stated at 12.8V.

 

when he revs with the lights all off except for my brake lights which are switched on, his voltmeter shows 14.6-14.8V. whereas mine, shows up to 13.3V.

 

and with the lights on, the same exact voltage shows.

is there smth wrong with my wiring? (i changed it about 2-3months ago)

or it's just my voltmeter which is showing some problems of inaccuracy. (need to be changed?)

 

if you asked regarding my voltmeter wiring, i went to fx110 few months back. he did the wiring of voltmeter for me. i trust him.

 

i'm just pretty confused. though i know the bike is charging at the correct state but it makes me feel alil gaowei to see my voltmeter not responding to what the bike is showing. =/
