What was your highest speed on the bike since u got it? That's not oil, it's liquid carbon... Time to change engine oil and clear carbon before the piston and block get affected...

O.o I see i see......I didnt tried top speed yet. Lol! Still dont have the big balls :p Thanks for the info man! :)

Not trying top speed la... When u high rev, it's an automatic way of clearing carbon and all those black liquid... Try it on tailgaters... It works... ;)

CBR400 is a 4 stroke engine bike which means there is no need of 2T oil or burning of 2T oil.

if there is a leak in block gasket, there will be white smoke coming out of the exhaust when u rev the bike.

but normally will not leak til the extent where there is black oil collecting at the exhaust area.

is better to trace the black oil to its source or ask a trusted mech to perform such check.

over lubing of chain, leaking drain plug for engine oil, leaking oil pan may oso cause oil being found at mid pipe area.

Yup... Cos I was thinking that his petrol overflow in the block and go to the header together with the exhaust... Over flow because the previous owner might have tuned the carburetor to "rich" setting, meaning the fuel going in is high... Example, no high rev no fast speed, fuel burning very slowly... But rich fuel setting allows a lot of petrol in... So the input is higher than the output, there will be excess flowing out... Not good for the engine piston and block and overall... The last time I encountered this thing was when my friend was riding rvf... Same thing black liquid flowing out from the header and endcan connector... He had to overhaul the engine after 2-3 months of ignoring the problem...

petrol will evaporate off when leave untouch but not engine oil or unburned engine oil.

actually is better to run slightly rich for fuel/air ratio than running lean.

running lean will have better power performance but at a cost of higher engine temp.. this will lead to blow head gasket.

the black oil stain is not caused by too rich fuel/air ratio.

super rich fuel/air ratio will cause the engine not able to start properly. For example, when the bike fall on the grd, we always have problem crank start the bike as the carb is over flow with petrol and too little air/oxygen to cause it ignite.

Most probably new... Because my accident he help me claim the fairings better than the fairings I got when I bought the bike... Before accident fairings was cracked when I cornered... Maybe the wind resistance too high and the vibrations caused the previously patched fairings to break off completely... But the fairings I had after the accident was like on my bike all the way for the 6-7 months... No need to touch it, can withstand the wind and vibrations... That's how good it is...

Recently just change a new rectifier because my battery is not charging, voltage able to maintain at 13.5v but now it's not charging again. What could likely be the issue?
