The thing is anybody can ride fast, the problem is how fast can you come to a complete stop at high speeds using a bike with OEM hose, lousy pads as compared to using a bike with Braided hose + slintered pads..

only u get my point..

err....

i agree with blueblood....

true that brake system and brake tech go hand in hand. but they are entirely different. got no link mah~

perhaps if u using a really gd brake system, u dun require much "advanced" tech. similarly, u need to be really good at braking techniques if u were to use lousy brake pads and disc...

with reference to golf, (if anyone read), tiger woods was complaining that with today's equipment, almost anyone can drive the ball further. and he was lamenting the return of old rules and equipment that will put more challenge in the game, so that those with bad techniques won't be able to drive the ball as far as those who are better at the game.

and on a more far-fetched note, the protagonist in Initial D relies more on technique than technology to win all the big-guns.... ;)

as such, which is why personally, i agree with blueblood that there is no link between the brake system and brake technique. they only go hand in hand...

well, perhaps i'm wrong... but this is how i interpret the discussion so far.... cos... steel braided hoses are there only to make it more convenient as you need not change ya normal OEM brake hoses as frequent as the steel braided ones as they last much longer and are more responsive.

since humans are alive, and the bike is dead, it is natural that techniques are adapted to suit the bike itself. so, different tech go with different bike configuration. so, i feel that there is no such thing as a universal correct or wrong technique that suits all bikes. just have to feel comfortable with yours and know whether to brake early or late for ya bike, or how hard to brake. :thumb:

hmmm.... don't flame me ah~ just my opinion.... :cheeky:

i do agree wat u say for certain points...

but i happen to come across someone who hav a accident...

he juz change his brake hose to swege..

then he squeeze too much at the corner.. when going into the expressway..

then he demo a small stoppie and lose control of the bike..

The only reason why this happen is because the person is too used to squeezing alot since rubber hoses are flexing and expanding due to heat. When he did the change, He failed to notice there is more feel from the braking and that how much is squeezed, none of the pressure is lost when it passes thru the hoses, all of the pressure goes direct to the brakes.

Btw, it's Swage. :cheeky:

expressway..

then he demo a small stoppie and lose control of the bike..

1) he went in way too fast

2) even though the line was lost just squeeze hard to bleed off speed reach the

apex throw backside to negotiate the bend chances are modern tyres have

enough grip to pull it off on tarmac rather on grass or sand patches

3) braided hoses and good pads only tools to aid the rider

pass a best rifle to bobo shooter yet he cant shoot for sh*t might even shoot

himself or friendlies first (food for thought) :faint:

enlighten me please on why 4-piston's better than 6 piston

lets just say who could refuse shortest braking distance :lovestruck:

suitably sized 4 pot pistons can provide the same braking power and feel as that of a 6 pot caliper..

that is minus the hassle of maintaining 6 pot calipers... if the pistons do not retract properly (and it does happens over time), the braking is way worse than a 4pot... also imagine the cost of maintaining 6 pistons calipers, if each pistons uses 2 O rings you'll need to replace 24 O rings for the 2 front calipers as opposed to 16 O rings for 4 pots..

all and for all if 6 pots doesn't comes stock.. don't bother changing to one...

There's no replacement for displacement except for a blower

wat u mean is the bulb connecting to the wire socket got problem or is it u cannot put in the bulb into the headlight portion??

if is the wire socket, make sure yr bulb is a H4 bulb..

if u cannot slot in the headlight, is the 3 small metal pieces around the bulb..

u hav to bend 2 of them, as the metal pieces cannot inline wif the grooves in the headlight portion..
