You probably do not know that at turn 1 exit you're already on 3rd gear. It's only 3 gears up, not 5 gears. And RPM at the exit is not 0 like when you start to launch...

i hv problems overcoming the BMW and i am always in wrong gears. they say last turn u only need 2nd gear, aft tat u pull for the long straight and i try to brake btw e 100 - 50 mark for turn 1....and all this done at low speed btw hehe cos i guess it's abt getting the basics rite and am still stuffing up sheesh

let say someone offer me a FJ L model. with brand new sportec tires. new o-ring. and the owner let me choose a new 2 colour paintwork and do a full service for me. engine still running well. for 3.2k worth it or not?

PG 2nd straight is long enough to get top end, depending on how you ride...even on standard bike with unrestricted end can.

actually intially i started this thread,i had this "heart" to put all CBR riders together.

it would be so nice to learn all about this bike from differnt ppl,

 

the parts and cost,

the experience of riding etc...

cos i see RVF thread they very "ON" one.go for few trips already...

 

we guys got a lot of catching u to do

in my opinion, it's not a bad deal.

 

but i won't agree with vtec88 that it's swee swee...

 

FJ bike.... most important is engine. but how are u gonna ensure engine is good? u can't tell just by listening. must ride a few times then will know...

new paintwork... not exactly useful. only nice nia...

full servicing... u might as well do that urself in case he uses cheaper grade...

new chain... it's advisable to change ya sprockets too together with ya new chain. =)

new tires.... not bad. good! =)

 

i'd say it's considered "swee swee" if he throw in carb serviving, together with air-filter, and top overhaul too. haha... that is really "swee swee".

 

but of course, don't think u can find such a deal. it's practically impossible... lolx
