correct me if i'm wrong cos i also wish to know more :cheeky:

get a 'L' model lor since there is no power cut but i think most cbr's pervious owner got take away the power cut liao la(dunno)

personally saw the exhaust headers for all the models at local bikeshops. all seem to be of equal size but my N model's endcan has a wider diameter compared to the R model's. The R model's exhaust manifold resemble the super 4's, slightly slimmer. cleared my meter at 2nd link with no noticeable power cut. nothing to brag about, after all, it's just a 12 years old 400cc motorcycle.

Hi guys, got some questions to ask.. it is like this, everytime I ride, my bike give off a strong smell of petrol, esp when it stops at traffic light. I was wondering if it is because the carb tuning is too rich, meaning burning a lot of petrol each time?? Is it something to worry about and to improve on? Or is it cos I have not been dragging my gear and clearing the carbon??

Moreover I do not feel my bike is getting sluggish but honestly what is a effective way of clearing the carbon?

And also I am quite worried about the heat of the bike? It seems that it gets heated up pretty fast.. And when I mean fast, it is really fast. I can reach orchard from Yishun with the temp meter reaching more than half and I am not even dragging my gear, moving fast or keep stopping at traffic light...! Can this be improved on too??

And lastly where is the best place the change the lightbulb of speedo meter and my bike only works on high beam. is this okay for all reasons possible (e.g. electricity heavy, tp will catch or just not right) or should I change to having having a high beam as well as a low beam.

Please advise. Thanks so much.

Cheers

junyi:

yeah.. L and N model header same... but hurricane header is a bit thicker. not a lot.. but can see the difference... vtec88 one is hurricane header loh. on an L model.

apart from the powercut (which can be removed), in my opinion, L and N model no difference at all.

ya it true if u compare hurricane and L' model. But i think For L'model header is slightly bigger than N'model. (Not veri confirm cos i did check it one yr ago as i was thinkin to change a L header but drop the idea of having it)

Try to c the four point header cos i once compare it.. it bigger.

Hi, encountered this petrol smell thing recently. I went to bikeshop and they removed my fuel tank and a cable(dono wad cable) inside went loose. thats why the petrol smell is so strong. After tightening the cable,no more petrol smell. As for ur temp, check ur coolant level . hope this helps in someway. :cheer:

how artistic, how much does it costs you to remove fuel tank and tighten cable?
