lol....i happened to saw another bike shop opened just now...in front of my bike shop...they quote me $270...$150 for recitifer and $150 for battery (yuasa made in japan)..discount $30...i almost fainted..in the end left my bike outside my bikeshop see tml how my mechanic say..

Pray tt its not ur coil ki chia... changed mine last month 2gether wif rectifier.. cost 250 for coil n 70 for rectifier.. guess tts the standard market price..

pardon me but i feel your bike shop wans to 'tok' you. I got a qoute for rectifier ~90 using cbr900 de. its compatible and more reliable. Yuasa batt, 65nia. at planet.

bike finally done up....it's the fuel pump that is spolit...changed a new fuel pump plus, fuel filter plus wash fuel tank...total S$150....now riding smoothly on road....:thumb:

 

 

 

sigh...my bike just 'died' on the road..try push start can...but once off engine cannot start at all...even i push the start botton also no sound...think is battery or recifier problem...anyway anyone know beside this two problems still got other possible problems? and how much is both of this each?

did he open the spoil pump let u see..

if spoil, u will notice the connector part in it will be wear off..

did he change the fuel pump relay too??

is very important..

if not, faulty relay will spoil yr fuel pump once more..

if coil burn then will use ur batt till flat.. batt not enff voltage so cant start bike even using push start (although still got light).. last time cant even push start lucky got vtec88 helped me push to shop lol.. i tink urs can still push start so maybe batt and rectifier need change.. correct me if im wrg

guys i nid ur help...wen i travel to...let say bugis then come back tampines, if i were to stop at traffic light, my bike cannot start. when press the ignition, sumthing no sound or sumtimes got come out rectifier " crick crick" sound but still cnt start. Happens every time i go far...i change rectifier liao but still this happens...help me guys

im new with this bike...

need fully understand yr situation..

so everyone can help out..

when u go out on road, do u often encounter jams?? where yr bike temp is rather high..

if u go places without overheating yr bike, then yr bike able to run?

the click sound come from the starter relay.. even yr bike is in gd condition, u can still hear the click sound. juz that the cranking sound cover it.

when is the last time u change batt, rect, coil and even carbon starter.

fan is on...n yap if i go near2 like al around east side got no prob at all...can run smoothly..

ok i just took over the bike last month...

previous owner say :

batt - 6mth

coil maybe 8-9mths or even a yr if im not wrong..

rectifier i just change last mth..

carbon starter i dun even noe wads tt...

sum ppl say starter relay or what..

pls enlighten me ...i realli noob

sorry if i offend anyone..

i juz stating the fact..

previous owner word can onli believe to a certain extent.. is better to check on yr own when u buy a bike..

fan switched on means is overheated.. if not, the fan will not on at all..

1)look for any burned/melted wirings.. the wire harness should be inside the left side fairings..

2)check the coil wire too.. is at the rite side of the tail fairing..

when a coil abt spoil, it will not charge the batt when the engine is too hot.. onli will charge wif the temp is lower..

3)use yr hand touch yr fuel pump.. when u throttle abit, u can feel the vibration of the pump.. means is working.. the pump is located near the rear suspension.. look like a enclosed tube or a can drink.. the cover is black plastic..

4) lastly get hold of a multimeter.. check yr batt voltage.. when everything off, should read abt ~12.6V; start bike with lights on, read ~12.9V; when throttle abit, read ~13.7V
