After i skidded the other time,

 

my x1r had been quite shaky, go at speeds of >90 can feel like gonna shake out of control.

 

b4 the skid no problem @ 130km/hr. :(

 

When windy particularly shaky. :(:(:(

You know your cone bearing is spoilt when,

 

Bike is stationary, sit on the bike, apply front brake. Push handlebar forward and pull backward, if you feel there is play (not meaning the suspension play). Or your can hear click-click as you push-pull the handlebar forward/backward.

 

Bike is stationary, sit on the bike, turn the handle bar full-lock left and right, does the steering seem to be very sticky in places and not smooth the whole way.

 

When riding a bike around a long corner (like those ones on the expressway interchanges), as well as leaning, you need to force the handle bars to make the bike follow the corner.

 

Budget 100$ upwards for a new cone bearing.
