need help choosing starter bike (recommendations?)

i'm getting my license at the end of the year. deciding on a starter bike for the next 2 years. so far i'm aware of the honda phantom, rebel and bajaj pulsar. you guys can recommend any bikes below 200cc? thinking of starting off low and upgrading to a super 4 or a bmw later. what're some of the best bikes in the biz? thanks

Heh, lookin the stickies section above your thread, exactly for people asking this question: RE: "Help me choose bike pls!". Did a very thorough comparison between a lot of 2B bikes.

 

Alot of the 2B bikes are listed there, but it is a bit out of date (2007, 2 years already, eh). So, just off the top of my head newer bikes:

 

Sportsbike

YZF-R125 (no new stock in Singapore)

YZF-R15 (Indian design, size like Honda CBR150, only in Singapore in August or so)

Daelim Roadwin R125

Cagiva Mito SP525 (expensive 2-stroker, i think just a Mito 125 in different dress)

 

Streetbike:

Pulsar 200

Hyosung Comet 125

Daelim Daystar

 

Otherwise, hit the dealers/shops and see what's out there!
