Bike towing to JB

Hello Everyone! Newbie here! Wanted to get some feedback / inputs on some questions that I have.

 

I want to buy a motorcycle (+400cc category), but purely to do touring outside Singapore. I don't want to ride in Singapore because I hardly get time to ride nor there's much scope of tour biking here in SG. Hence some questions:

 

1. I don't yet have a driving license in SG - can I still buy a bike?

2. Considering that I can buy a bike in SG - I know I cant ride it here in SG as I don't have a license yet. But can I get my bike towed to JB and ride in Malaysia & other countries (Thailand etc) using my home country International license)

 

Any advise / guidance / direction would be highly appreciated.

@mpnchar yes you can buy a bike in singapore without a license..... but.......... if your intention is to tow it to malaysia / thailand, why not buy a malaysian bike? it is much cheaper.

the COE alone makes it not worth the while if you dont ride it in singapore...

on your point 2.. yes u can tow it across the border.. but i would recommend you to ask a friend to ride it across for you and to take a grab back home. may be cheaper that way.
