you can own a bike without a license, go to LTA and do a Lay Up. No movement of bike though...

 

When your brother pass his TP, visit LTA again and do the road tax and you are free to ride.

Thks for reply..but if the bike i buying road tax is till sept or oct..mean if he pass and i taken off the layout,bike can ride after insurance ok?

no, if you decide to lay up the bike, LTA will issue cheque the balance of road tax that are not used. When u take off the lay up after ur bro pass, need to go for insurance, inspection and new road tax.

y muz inform LTA that we are doing a lay up?

so that you can legally keep the bike without road tax & insurance.

why go thru all tat trouble of laying up then laying out again? might as well just wait for him to pass then buy right? if i am not wrong all the laying up and out are chargable of admin fees. not worth it right?

admin fee cheap.. if i can remember.. about $15... some people lay up bike before they have a license due to good deals/offer.

$5.35 actually, but u got to fork out to tow ur bike to inspection. lay up = cannot ride

Hi all bro here..another question..How do i check how much i pay for 32 years old and 2b license pass since 1995?Cus if wanted to buy a bike from a bro here..need to check how much insurance needed to pay..and oso how much to if wanted to add in 1 sub rider thanks

OK i call AXA,Allian & NTUC ..NTUC is expensive :( and the rest dun accept insurance for sport bike Eg : NSR sp ..any to intro?
