Hi, my wife got a speeding fine with 8 points (31 to 40KMPH over the limit), there is no mention of the measured speed. I believe she did not go that fast. Any possibility to appeal ?

You can try. I'm sure they have video evidance. To see the video, you will need to pay a certain fee. Dunno how much, I think $80. Cannot keep the vids somemore haiz.

Anyway it is very easily clocked if you are on a normal road (60km/h speed limit) and hit 90-100km/h. Could it be this scenario?

Yes could be 1O1kmph on a 70 limit road but this is rather fast , she would have noticed ! thanks, will try to appeal anyway.

don't forget normal road speed limit is 50kmh in SG...its not even 60. so best to check location before you go ask for video.

its not that difficult to travel 101km/h on those 70km/h roads whereby it looks like an expressway..

Rat bike - A motorcycle not necessarily kept in pristine condition, often painted matt black. Minimal maintenance and mismatched parts often used.

actually, you cannot assume that all main roads are 70. i've seen quite a number of roads that look main to me but are rated 60. best thing is to assume its 50 until you see a speed limit sign...especially if there are overhead bridges around.

This implies that women doesn't really check their speedo while driving. I always encounter women who are either like turtles on expressway,if not they are like cheetahs on normal roads.she might had clocked her best drag racing timing without knowing it....:D
