Hi fellows,

I've recently bought a 2007 R6 and come to realise that the previous owner has disable the butterfly valve for it. Every parts are stock. Does anybody know the best settings for C1,C2,C3,C4 with the butterfly valve disabled? Cuz the pipe is rather black due to too rich combustion i guess. What is the best settings i can set for lean mixture with the butterfly valve disabled?

Well

Firstly i bought the bike from Ong Motor.

The butterfly valve is disabled becoz the cable connecting the valve and the server motor is not there.

Secondly i took a close look inside the pipe and saw that the valve doesn't close at all even when i on and off the bike.

i used to own r6 '06. meddled around with the C1-C4 settings. if i recalled correctly, individual bikes got their own settings. meaning u cnt copy/paste from another R6. but i maybe wrong tho.

dun worry too much abt the exhaust valve. it jz affect abit of ur initial moving off from traffic light. and also ur bike will sounder louder during idle ;)

its pretty easy to fix back the cable. but, u may need to adjust the length.

a service manual would be of great help.

go to the angmoh R6 forum. they share great knowledge there.
