can anybody tell me how the procedure is like for adding a sub-rider?

does the sub-rider gets her own insurance or just pay sub-rider fee? or both?

Well, hope my answers helps.

Adding of subrider can be done one of two way.

1 - Your insurance is still long way from due (more than 6 mths). The subrider will just have to pay subrider fees to "piggyback" on your insurance till its due. On renewal, its the practice for the subrider to pay the whole insurance. This cost will be the one that is quoted when insurance is due for renewal.

2 - Your insurance is due for renewal soon. A subrider has been found. Both parties agree that the subrider will pay for the newly quoted insurance and his name will be added to the cert.

Either way, you are STILL the legal owner of the bike. Meaning any implications/offences done by the subrider while riding the bike WILL be notified thru you first.

i see, okay that means my insurance will be due in 2 more months. the sub-rider will pay for the newly quoted insurance which mine cost $200~$300 which hers will be $800+. the part i don't get it is the owner and the sub-rider shares the same insurance? cause i heard from some people they will pick the younger/lesser driving experience rider's insurance.

Correct. What this means is the next renewal the charges will be based on the youngers rider's quotation (either you or the sub)
