can own a bike without a valid license

I am asking on behalf of my cousin.

 

He is going to be 18 next month is he able to buy a bike as he have not take his license yet.. he is planning to buy a bike from a guy as got a good deal...

 

1) Can the bike be transferred to his name?

2) Does he need to lay up the bike? If need to lay up, how much is it?

There is no rules requiring any persons to first have a licence before making a purchase of vehicles .

Anyone can own a vehicle , but NObody can use it without a valid licence .

 

You may choose to have yr vehicles laid-up to save on road tax and insurances ..... but to regain the right to use them on the roads , you need to pass the LTA inspection with valid road tax and insurance coverage to do so .

Alternatively , you can let yr vehicle remained "active/Live" by continuing to pay road tax and insurances, inclusive of the yearly LTA inspection fees .

 

 

REMINDER : IT IS SERIOUS OFFENCE TO RIDE OR DRIVE WITHOUT A VALID DRIVING / RIDING LICENCE !

bro frank talk i won`t ride it for sure... who wan to sit in jail or pay fine... i rather use the money on my license and other stuff and be a free bird then seein the same 4 wall... dun worry...
