Insurance settlement - help needed

Hi bros, I was involved in a personal accident about a year ago - cyclist to vehicle. Engaged a lawyer, did a claim with the driver's insurance company. Case went to court and judgement was for driver to pay full costs.

 

It was eventually settled out of court for a fixed amount. The claim was transferred to a public trustee, then to my account. HOWEVER, the amount i received was few hundreds more than the amount i signed for in the settlement. Does anyone know how the discrepancy came about?

 

I have not received any mention or invoice for fees from my lawyers. I was told somewhere along the lines that their fees would be claimed directly from the other party's insurance company. Does that mean that they have already received payment or could it be that the discrepancy are the lawyer fees that they are about to send me an invoice for? Note that they have already sent me a case file of all original documents along with a letter stating that my case is closed, appreciation for choosing them and so on.

u just call up and ask. since we don;t know the whole agreement
