Is it possible to fit a alternator on a NC35 that can handle more "juice"?

Mine wont charge the battery when using 2x Xenon lights.

Any ideas? Maybe the alternator is not working properly?

Thanks!

Does ur Xenon lights have the same power rating as the stock ones? eg 55w?

If not maybe just unplug 1 side and use 1 side lor lol.. otherwise i wonder wad bike's alternator can use lol

The RR on my Fireblade represents "Race Replica"

is the rectifier that provide the DC power..

alternator onli produce AC then the rect convert it to DC..

must understand wat is operating power needed for the aftermkt parts u install..

try to get the same rating as stock as the electrical system of the bike is design on that basis onli..

as i tried, required addition battery for 2nd rectifier to prevent that

the light blink when idling.

NOTE:

- bulb is 12V60/55W x2

- just for R&D :cheeky:

alternate alternator's coil is from Kawaski,

but dont know what models is can use.

So to run the two xenon lights you basicly needed two batteries and two rectifiers?

I think my current rectifier cant even handle 1 on 55w.. :faint:

not necessary using two batteries and two rectifiers for feed the xenon lights.

unless your bulb is 12V110/110W.

xenon lights also available for 12V35/35W,its just dim abit, but save power.

another alternative, upgrade your headlight wiring and charging wiring.

use thick and high current wire(16AWG or 14 AWG)

for check your charging status,

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v205/fx110/spareparts/20090728001.jpg

the price should not more than S$15(cheapest @ simlim Tower 3rd floor)

use to check charging your battery status, the charging light should light up all the way when all load applied(headlight, brake light, signal, horn etc)

if not, your charging wiring have problem(common) or alternator coil is gone soon(seldom)

NOTE:

stock bulb is 12V60/35W for japan spec.

Thanks for clearing it out for me. I have a Japan Spec NC35 since I importet it directly from Thailand. The battery doesent hold it`s current when I`m using the xenon bulb, so it missfires when the "juice" gets low.(Only one 55w xenon bulb in use)

It`s charging just enough to maintain the coils operational when riding when I drive with the lights off.

Thanks

Andreas

alternate bulb can use from Yamaha TZM150, 12V35/35W or 12V45/45W

i am not sure whether have 12V25/25W for H4 bulb(our bike)

check the Watt rating before buying/changing bulb
