cbkooky has got the concept rite!! :thumb: We should route the breaker as near to the battery as possible so as to eliminate any chances of a fault b4 the CB. I would recommend fitting it under the seat for easy access.

Method

Link battery +ve to any point of CB then other point of CB to lighter socket +ve then from lighter socket -ve back to the battery -ve And tats it!!!

wow~~~ very 'chim' leh..

will try it..

Hi guys, I know to find the answer to the questions i am going to ask i should do a search, but i using 56k modem, and i hope that you guys will pardon me. currently my broadband is down due to unknown reasons.

ST11. Heard there are many models. US and PE. Then there's the PY model or something like that. Also heard that there a model with a different rating battery or something like that. Please advice as i am considering between a ST11 or a Diversion 900. If you guys could, any comments on the Diversion?

It will ease my dicesion making.

/thanks alot guys. I really appreciate it.

hi William,

try to check diversion thread to solve ur inquiry.

ST1100 has P.E. models & U.S. state models. difference of P.E. is without EVAP system & with light switch. it's easier when comes to maintenance.

in between 96' it began the improvement to larger alternator(40AMP), which it more durable. so far no tale of breaking down.

hope it enlighten u..

feel free to drop in more inquirys.

Well Done!!!cbkooky :thumb:

Wif the circuit understood, we can start our project but remember one thing in mind is tat the connection points must be done properly wif terminal lugs to eliminate any chance of corrosin ,short circut etc....We should not fix it like the bike shops wif black tape cos tats very dangerous :goodluck:

Hi Collina,

Thanks for the info, but wanna know where to get this CB and how much it cost?

Is there any pic or spec we can see, so that we will not get the wrong stuff.

harlow guys ...

i just bought my st11 from looi's 2 weeks ago ...

loois told me he would do a full service for the bike (2nd hand) , but in the end...

1) both tyre is going botak plus wrong size on the back, ST11=160/70 , they give 160/60

2) engine oil =VERY DIRTY BLACK

3) shaft oil = VERY DIRTY BLACK

4) spark = old and worn out

5) pad brake = new but of inferior quality (screeching sound even when u tap)

6) coolant hoist = spoilt taking in air , coolant low.

Thinking of putting a top box ..

is "VIP" box from chap lee good ??

looks like china made but the outlook is great .

anyway the guy from chap lee is installing the box with monokey bucket , which is better , seng kwang's stainless steel bucket or monokey bucket ?

of course in terms of money SK cost so much higher lah ..

good to see so much ST11 on the RDs nowadays ... :cheer:

I upgraded, infact most upgraded from Givi bracket to Seng Kwang bracket. For your case , its not as expensive because you haven't purchase the Givi brackets yet, which cost $80 -$120. Seng kwang bracket cost $160 and I can say that it looks better and can customise to your style. So you see, its not as bad, only ard $40 difference, compare to those that had purchase the Givi and upgraded to SK.:giddy:

hi cooljam,

good to see ur posting.

it's a wise decision to replace paper air filter to K&N air filter to save $$.

the plm u r facing is due to lean air fuel mixture, it all depends on how u r gona look at it in long term basis.

u should have them to put all their promises into written words to u.

1) both tyre is going botak plus wrong size on the back, ST11=160/70 , they give 160/60

u should check with us or from the manual or under the seat.

2) engine oil =VERY DIRTY BLACK

normal if it's synthetic oil or it was use for over duno how long.

3) shaft oil = VERY DIRTY BLACK

normal.

4) spark = old and worn out

did u measure with a feeler..?

5) pad brake = new but of inferior quality (screeching sound even when u tap)

might be dirty disc, orginal new pads have the sound also.

6) coolant hoist = spoilt taking in air , coolant low.

check reservior tube from the nipple below the top up cap if it's nicely fitted.

hope it helps, or join us every wednesday nite to listen real verbal feedbacks.

Simon,

Thanks for the feedback, care to elaborate.

Anyway after taking out the the Sponge, the problem I have previously gone.Yah and I need to adjust the idle timing too.Now my bike seem to have a better performance already.Anyway I'm still curious whether you guys use the sponge or not.And from what I learnt on these,I doubt any of you use it....If there's someone use it pls tell me what adjustment you need to do.
