of course grounding can DIY, after all those that did grounding are also human and no special equipment is needed.. the only difference is, do you know how to do it properly and safely?

The materials are cheap but the labour/expertise is what makes it so expensive.

So unless you're absolutely sure what you're doing, better not do it. Proper heat and eletrical insulation is a must. Together with proper running of wires.

To do list:

- Steel brake hoses (In progress...)

- Rewire bike

- Repaint fairing and clean up bike

- Replace exhaust system (DONE!)

The whole idea of 'Grounding' is pointless, your bike already has a wiring harness that is grounded. Take a look at the wiring diagram for your bike and you will see that you have several wires that are grounded to engine and/or bikes frame.

actually grounding yr bike is juz link several points to the negative pt of yr batt..

unless u link wrongly y connecting the +ve/live connector towards the batt..

Get hold of your particular bikes wiring diagram, from workshop manual. Or try online. In that schematic you will see the arrangement of the entire electrical system.

Most commonly on japanese bikes the system is Negative to Earth, and those wires are most often shown in BLACK (NOT ALWAYS though).

ALL electrical systems for bikes are already grounded, its part of an electrical circuit. If its not a closed circuit it wont work, or an open circuit

If you insist on 'improving your grounding' then you could simply increase the capacity of those black wires. That is replace with a thicker wire, more strands of copper inside the wire, then make sure that each point that it is attached to, such as frame, engine or Negative (-) of battery is well connected.
