Actually you are very lucky that the BMW driver told the truth and saved you from unneccessary arguement.

 

There are hit and run cases where the victim have to fork out their own money for medical bills and repair works. Followed by loss of NCDs and increased premiums for number of years.

in ur case, u have 100% chances of winning...so, my advise is u "tekan"(push) the other party...reject all offer that is given 2 u by the insurance company...get ur bikeshop or lawyer to fight for ur case...try to get as much MC as possible...$3k is too little in my opinion...i will not surprise if u walk away with 5digits...

 

i have the same experience with u 1yr+ ago...but unfortunately, i was lyk the bmw driver in ur case...to make things worse, im with a pillion...i lost the case with $200 fine n 9 demerit points...but im not sure hw much my insurance compansate the other party...my pillion suffer some stitches n abbrasion n was compansate $3k from my insurance...in ur case should be more coz add ur motor repairs...
