I remembered that there was somewhere in this forum that there is a thread regarding this but i cant find it anywhere...

 

This is regarding my number plate.

A buyer is interested in my number plate and i might want to sell it?.

 

may i know whuts the legal procedure to get a new number plate and how am i suppese to do change tthe number plate to him?...

There are several scenerios. One of the common one are the buyer is buying the number to replace the current on his bike. Minimum $1300 for LTA processing fee.

 

1. Go to LTA Sin Ming

2. Approach the counter and she will give both of you forms to fill

3. One new plate number from LTA will be issued for your bike

4. YOur bike number will transfer to his bike. His old bike number will be gone forever

5. You will receive the new bike number.

 

Money to standby - transfer fees and 1300 LTA fee. Also Plus the money he pay to you to buy your plate number

IF YOU ARE THE NUMBER PLATE BUYER

 

Bro, when you get new number for your current bike. The old one must go. Lta will charge 1300 to remove your old number. In addition you have to pay money for your new number. EIther bidded number or buy from other people.

 

When you buy number from other people, only one person need the new number from LTA. In this case, the seller will get the non bidded number from Lta for a norminal charge. You the buyer will pay LTA to proceed the admin and will take over the purchased number from the seller.

 

Minimum - Buyer - $1300 + transfer fee + agreed money to the seller for buying the number.

 

Seller - received the agreed money from the buyer.

 

Henceforth you being the seller need not pay $1300 to LTA.
