[Trip Report] Ride to Tanjung Piai, Southern Most Tip of Southeast Asia : 14 May 10

This is a short trip report for those interested in going here in future.

 

Me and gunshead went up to Tanjung Piai yesterday (:

 

Great ride, slow and steady, had a great time walking around the lushy rainforest at Tanjung Piai and taking pictures and enjoying the great peace and serenity there. Saw many monkeys which looked abit different from the usual ones seen at zoos/tvs and all.

 

We stopped at this nice Kampung like place called 'Murang Power', if I remember correctly to have a wonderful simple breakfast, Nasi Lemak. Great food, great company, the owner lives in a nice traditional Kampung and he said he owns all the plantation behind it. Durian lovers can eat as many durians from the trees in his plantation for just 15 Ringget!!!

 

After seeing Tanjung Piai, we headed to Kukup, to have a wonderful time eating seafood and relaxing and also riding past very very beautiful kampungs on the seaside (:

 

Great experience and wonderful ride

 

Distanced covered: About 200km

Bikes that went: Honda CBR150R + Suzuki Raider 150

reach GP town turn right for pontian /ulu choh

 

then ride till*see pontian signboard directly to turn left

 

turn left

 

go till showing pontian

 

u will pass by pekan nanas town

then many brown color signboard shows

 

taman negara tg.piai

 

muzium bugis

look out for this brown signboard

 

it will make u turn left

 

then follow the sign board J111 tg.piai

until u reach the end where kukup imigration jetty.

 

this place is kukup famous kelong seafood

 

but before this end u see tg.piai board showing to turn left

 

about 8km u will reach this place

from 2nd link u will travel 66km* till the tg.piai nature reserve park
