So long to take basic theory test?

I went to BBDC to register basic theory test. To my surprise, I need to wait 2.5 months!

 

I vaguely remember only needing to wait for 2 weeks 3+ years ago. (Did I remember right?)

 

Unfortunately, I've registered before I found this, so I couldn't go to another driving centre. Then, I checked that ComfortDelgro is the same. SSDC is just 1.5 months wait -- maybe because it is in Woodlands!

 

What's more, now we can no longer cancel if there is an earlier test date. Well done! I remember checking time to time for an earlier slot. A few spoilt apples spoil it for the rest of us.

you can do this, cancel your BBDC Basic Theory Test (BTT) and enrol as a private student at SSDC online for $6, and book BTT thru the internet.. that's what my friend did and he had just passed his BTT at SSDC recently and continued his practical lesson at BBDC as BBDC student. I am not encouraging you, from any driving centre (LOL) or whatsoever but just giving you a helpful tip.

2.5 months wow! My theory tests, (BTT taken donkey years ago when we had to wait for the results to be mailed to us and FTT taken 1.5 years ago) were around 1 month waiting time at SSDC, when it was in Ang Mo Kio.
