Information for aftermarket exhaust inspection

I have asked a Vicom officer about exhaust inspection and thought of sharing with you guys, hope it will be of much help.

 

If you bought a first hand exhaust you should bring the following:

1) Exhaust certificate

2) Letter of request LTA inspection form( Please get the shop that you bought from to fill in the VAC number: Vehicle accessory code number e.g VAAC200903311909AE) You must also remember your engine and chassis number as this information is to be written on the form.

3) Receipt issued for purchase of the exhaust.

 

If you are buying a second hand exhaust you should bring the following:

1) And acknowledgment letter of consent that you have bought a second hand exhaust from a friend (You must include your name, I/C number and signature same goes to the seller, name I/C number and signature.

2) Exhaust certificate from previous owner.

3) If you bought the exhaust w/out cert you can go to G-MAX to purchase the cert.
