Hiya all!

I've a very old TR-S that needs restoration. It is currently in quite a bad shape where there are a couple of parts (in a kind way) rusting and electrical system almost gone to the dogs. Oh, the bike does not comes with an IU either...

However, the engine is still working as I've personally tried it though the kick start is like a grumpy old lady.

So, my question here to all is that does this 118cc bike deserved to be restored? It has the nice retro cafe look that is so much different from the RXK 135 and GN 125 and moreover, up til this date, I haven't seen any old uncle riding one of these oldies besides the RXK 135 and GN 125 so there is a rare factor present.

Will the parts of this bike be hard to obtain? Is there even a place where I could source out parts of this bike?

EDIT: I've decided to post it here for the "hands on" grease monkeys to have a look instead of the naked bike section as I think this forum would be more relevant?

Hi there. I'm Eldorado from Malaysia. The Suzuki TRS118 is a nice bike. But beware of overreving it. That's the reason you rarely see old TRS. One of the bearing in the crankcase has been know to wear out quickly. Other wise, its a nice bike. Parts are not very common in Malaysia, But you still can find some if you have the time. Overall, its a nice bike to own and restore. I can say that because I have one myself, also 2 Suzuki GPs. Great looking bike if you could look for the parts from the TRS Racer. Good luck on your project.

Time for a bigger bike....

Thanks for the advice, Eldorado. Perhaps I might go over to M'sia to check out parts as I've already inquired with several shops who shoo-ed me off because they do not have the parts for the TR-S and that I did not wanna buy anything else from them. Sigh~

Thats pretty cool man! Thanks alot!

Gotta find time to see when could I travel down to KL with the help of my relatives to obtain those parts. Seriously, there are too many parts that I need to change already! Will continue to source for parts!
