1. is the Thai/m'sia border customs open at night ?

2. How long does it roughly take to reach the border from GP Esso

3. Any good hotel locations ? with parking and security ? at Hat Yai

4. How else to secure bike other than padlocks and chains

1. is the Thai/m'sia border customs open at night ?

They open from 7am - 12pm (SGP Time) I think. Never try b4. :cheeky:

2. How long does it roughly take to reach the border from GP Esso

Depending on your speed and number of rest stops and how long you rest.

3. Any good hotel locations ? with parking and security ? at Hat Yai

Can try Be My Guest, Its a guest House. Walking distance to Lee Garden. Parking just in front of the lobby. Saw they employ a guard at night time. :thumb:

4. How else to secure bike other than padlocks and chains

My friends use only the alarm disc lock while I use none.

 Road to Endless Destination is still burning.

Did we met at Caltex Bkt kayu hitam? i am the DR650 with pillion.

I see limbs everywhere on the road

Limbs of strangers i have not met

Are the Roads that vicious ?

Or is it just Dangerous ?

Whatever it is, no one can predict what lies on the roads................

1. is the Thai/m'sia border customs open at night ? msia border open 24 hours. somehow recently these 2 mths some of them mention it open 24 hours and some of them mention it open only 8am to 5pm for thai border.

2. How long does it roughly take to reach the border from GP Esso. if you are travelling cruising speed at between 160-180km/hr, you can reach msia/thai border within 8 hours. this depends on your bike cc.

3. Any good hotel locations ? with parking and security ? at Hat Yai. Novotel Centara, Grand Plaza Hotel is recommended choice.

4. How else to secure bike other than padlocks and chains we use padlock to lock chain and wheel. there are securities at the counter before the exit of carpark and they are able to look after the bike.

hi izzit. we jus came back from hatyai yesterday and we stay over at novotel. hope the above clarifies your doubt.

1. is the Thai/m'sia border customs open at night ?

*They open from 6 am to 12 am...* Timing estimated

2. How long does it roughly take to reach the border from GP Esso

*Depending on your speed, constant 120 -130 roughly will take you 9 - 10 hrs to reach saodao border.

3. Any good hotel locations ? with parking and security ? at Hat Yai

* I would recommend "Sakol Hotel" a nice hotel with private security, a nice 100 steps away from lee garden shopping centre and central of tourist attraction offering local delicacies and traditonal thai massages...

4. How else to secure bike other than padlocks and chains

* water proof alarmed disc lock, and also install a 2 way bike alarm on your ride to better protect against theft.
