Let's get this thread started..

Liverpool 1 - Arsenal 1

Match report can be read HERE

Seems like the new kid Chamakh is a good buy..

Although dissapointed that Fabregas n RVP didn't play, it was a good match

and got a valuable point from a difficult venue..

LOL the Reina blunder was hilarious...:p

Chamakh is a very good player. RVP did feature for about 15 mins or so but didn't really made an impact. Reina was a joker! Haha!

awesome game for arsenal.. brought blackpool back to reality.. hat-trick from walcott.. even a goal from chamakh.. woohoo!

Match was cool.. 6-0.. Juz when Blackpoon was in cloud 9

I've always rated Walcott highly and hopefully he does get a call up.

Chamakh deserved that goal and he uses his aerial ability very well.

Diaby as usual full of tricks with his long legs.

And one particular player that impressed me in that game was Alex Song. How cool was he playing at the centre back position. He made a number of good tackles and was solid at the back :thumb:

Walcott have alot of good yrs ahead of him, he's only 21..:thumb:

Seems like we have a good buy in Chamakh, he seems to blend well wit the lads..

Diaby hmmm he's skillful but non-consistent. Hope tis yr he'll do better.

Alex Song is good or maybe it's against Blackpool :p

Rather he playin in his normal position..which is def mid..:thumb:

wenger's gonna mould walcott into a striker just like henry.. cant wait for that..

He's of the same mould as Henry but certainly not as skillful as Henry...He do have pace though, tis would be interesting....:slurp:

Sevilla defender Sebastien Squilacci will sign for Arsenal, subject to him passing a medical in London on Monday, according to the Spanish club.

More news here.

The veteran centre back would be a very good addition to the squad i suppose.

Van Persie 'out for weeks'

Arsenal and Netherlands striker Robin van Persie is likely to be out for "at least a few weeks", according to the Dutch football federation (KNVB).

Van Persie, who was out for five months last season with ankle ligament damage, suffered a twisted ankle during the Premier League clash with Blackburn at Ewood Park on Saturday.

The KNVB has announced that Van Persie will take no part in the upcoming European Championship qualifiers against San Marino and Finland as a result.

Arsene Wenger had said after the game against Blackburn that he thought Van Persie's injury would be short-term. "It is a twisted ankle," he said. "We will have to check but, if we have no bad news, we hope that in eight to ten days he can be okay."

With Van Persie out of action, Netherlands have called up Hamburg striker Ruud van Nistelrooy, 34, for the first time in two years.

Van Nistelrooy announced his international retirement after Euro 2008 but reversed his decision prior to the 2010 World Cup. He has scored six goals in three games for Hamburg so far this season.

Adebayor expects City to join the elite

Emmanuel Adebayor believes Manchester City are close to becoming a bigger club than Arsenal.

Adebayor left Arsenal for City in 2009 in a summer of spending that also brought the likes of Carlos Tevez and Gareth Barry to the club, and further arrivals such as Yaya Toure, David Silva, Mario Balotelli and James Milner now mean City have more star names than many top sides around Europe.

City have yet to break into the Champions League or challenge for the title, but Adebayor feels they are on the verge of overtaking his former club.

Asked if City were now bigger than Arsenal, he said: "Yeah, it does feel like that. With the great new players, we've got we have a wonderful chance to make history, but it's all about results. If we can win ten games in a row, people will class Manchester City as bigger than Arsenal."

Imho, bloody ungrateful traitor! Get a first team place 1st wiseguy.

Why so serious?

Hate Adebayor to the core after seeing his goal celebration against his former club. It was Wenger who brought him up till this level.
